Interview With Glenmorangie Signet Creator Bill Lumsden

Australia’s The Age sat down for a short talk with master distillers from Chivas Regal and Glenmorangie.

Chivas master distiller Colin Scott discusses the subtleties of the new Chivas Regal 25, while Glenmorangie’s Bill Lumsden offers some insight into the new Glenmorangie Signet.

One secret: “He uses about 20% chocolate malt in the initial ‘wash’ so the result is probably closer to a dark ale than stout in character. This explains the bitter mocha notes that proved so elusive.”
